This session will discuss infrastructure, tools, and human capacity to enable global collaboration with a focus on the challenges and needs of emerging regions. It will include short presentations and be followed by a panel.
The panel will illuminate some of the challenges facing newer REN organizations in emerging regions as well as issues for isolated researchers. It will encourage co-operation between older/mature organizations with these newer players. Overcoming individual institutional differences and meeting real requirements (technical and policy) in order to facilitate collaboration will be a theme of the discussion. This panel will include a Q&A session for audience members.
